Calderdale Council is launching a digital and creative industry initiative called The Creative Calderdale project. The project aims to develop and operate a creative industry network across Calderdale to encourage the start-up of new businesses in the sector.

The Central Office of Information (COI) has announced the appointment of Simon Marquis as non-executive board director. Marquis joins the COI's supervisory board with immediate effect, replacing Marilyn Baxter, who recently announced her retirement after seven years in the post.

DouglasWood, the housing, regeneration and development consultancy founded by former CEO of the Housing Corporation, Steve Douglas, and exCEO of Newham Council Chris Wood, has called in Eloqui PR to build its brand in the housing and regeneration sector.

Urban Living, a government regeneration agency, has recruited Birmingham-based agency Big Cat Group to help promote its Beyond Bricks community arts campaign. The campaign has been developed in partnership with Arts Council England.
