Omnicom Group reveals net income rose for Q2 2010 to $243.3 million

Marketing communications group Omnicom, which owns PR agencies Porter Novelli and Ketchum Pleon, has announced its net income rose for the second quarter of 2010 to $243.3 million.

This was a 4.2% rise from $233.4 million in the second quarter of 2009.

Worldwide revenue increased 5.9% to $3,041.2 million from $2,870.7 million in the second quarter of 2009. Domestic revenue for the second quarter of 2010 increased 7.4% to $1,636.9 million, compared to $1,524.5 million in the second quarter of 2009.

Meanwhile, international revenue increased 4.3% to $1,404.3 million, compared to $1,346.2 million in the second quarter of 2009.

Omnicom’s other PR agencies include Fleishman-Hillard and Kreab Gavin Anderson.
