GENEVA - UNICEF’s (United Nations Children’s Fund) spokesman and
chief of communications, Marie Heuze, has been promoted to head the
United Nations’ office of information at its European headquarters in
Geneva. Heuze has been replaced by Hans Olsen, previously a
communications officer at UNICEF, who now reports to UNICEF regional
director Steve Woodhouse. Prior to joining Unicef, Heuze was press
attache at the French Embassy in London and later at the Elysee Palace
where she worked for former president Valery Giscard d’Estaing.
