Cake has been appointed to handle PR and marketing for the Clothes
Show Live, the annual fashion exhibition that has been running for 11
Account director Claire Curran will head the six-month project, which
carries fees of over pounds 100,000, reporting to Bridget Raithatha,
marketing manager of organiser BBC Haymarket Exhibitions.
The appointment of Cake, which will promote the exhibition through clubs
and fashion colleges, is part of a completely new team of companies to
design and direct the show which takes place from 8-13 December. Cake
will also run the on-site press office.
- The appointment of Golin/Harris to co-ordinate PR for Nintendo across
Europe (PR Week, 30 June) does not affect the work of Cake, which
handles product PR for Nintendo in the UK.
