The Wright Partnership’s Kew offices recently fell foul of London’s
A burst water main outside the consumer agency’s office meant that the
car park and electricity generator were partially submerged.
While most of the staff ran to rescue their much-loved cars or sat
cursing the fact that the power cut had erased half the morning’s work,
graphic design studio manager, Kaush Bharti, had other ideas.
Taking the advice of its client PR Brands UK, distributors of Jameson
Irish Whiskey, Bharti took the motto ’What’s the rush?, to heart and,
with a bottle of the triple-distilled Irish whiskey and a Jameson
inflatable chair, decided to savour the moment.
’There was nothing better to do, so I though I’d make a nuisance of
myself and annoy the firemen,’ said Bharti.
The power came back on later that day but not before the troublesome
Bharti had floated round the car park for a good hour helping himself to
liberal swigs of whiskey.
However he still managed a full day’s work by resisting the urge to
drink the whole bottle himself and even offered some as a peace offering
to the firemen after they had sorted out the problem.
