1. Ever feel like you're travelling in cattle class on the tube? This week it was invaded by herds of Friends of the Earth activists dressed as cows.

They were launching a campaign for rainforest-free food. Comms and media manager Helen Bird got up at 4.30am to dress up as one of the cows. One TFL staffer told her to 'moove down the carriage'.

2. Hillingdon Council's press team was faced with a challenge last week. How do you best capture the facilities of a new leisure centre and library? The answer: get one of the youth MPs (and talented gymnast) to practise his skills in the library. 'We got a few funny looks when we were taking the photos,' said PR officer Jack Mundy.

3. Oscar winner and James Bond film actress Dame Judi Dench helped the Remarkable Group launch the £29m Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Surrey last week. Account director Catherine Reid said: 'Our successful launch proves that even meeting a movie star doesn't leave us feeling shaken or stirred.'
