PUBLIC SECTOR: Best Practice resource for public sector

The IPR local government group is set to introduce a range of new best practice resources for press officers at all levels in the sector. The move comes in the wake of findings from formal research conducted by an external agency into its members’ needs. James Flynn, the spokesman for the committee which commissioned the survey said the IPR local government group was planning the introduction of regular e-mail briefings on issues affecting local government PROs as well as an on-line forum where professionals could share best practice on issues such as best value implementation.
