Elida Faberge has appointed Cairns and Associates to handle
consumer PR for the Timotei brand of haircare products. The account was
awarded following a three-way pitch, and is worth over pounds 100,000 in
Cairns account director Charlotte Clarke will lead the account,
reporting to Sarah Taylor, Timotei’s brand manager.
’We wanted an agency with extensive brand-building experience,’ said
Taylor. ’A substantial programme of investment is planned to support the
Timotei brand during 2000 and beyond.’
PR for Timotei was previously handled in-house. Cairns also handles PR
for Vaseline Intensive Care, another Elida Faberge brand.
The Timotei remit covers the core shampoo, and conditioner brand and the
launch of new variants in the range later this year. Cairns’ brief is to
target 16- to 34-year-old women primarily through campaigns aimed at
women’s consumer magazines.
