This would be a major coup for the UK's largest independent entertainment PR agency, whose clients include Amy Winehouse, Naomi Campbell and Bon Jovi.

Singh joined the National Magazine Company's weekly celebrity magazine Reveal as assistant editor (celebrity) just a year ago.

Before this he was showbiz reporter at News of the World for eight years, where he had 52 front-page splashes and won the 2004 British Press Award for showbusiness reporter of the year.

A senior celebrity PRO said: ‘Singh has a long-standing relationship with The Outside Organisation’s CEO Alan Edwards and a great contacts book, so this move would make sense. He would bring a lot of value to an agency.’

In May, the agency hired four senior consultants including Neil Wallis, former executive editor of the News of the World.
