MEDIA: MEDIA BRIEFS - Interactive Youth FM station goes live

Youth FM, which claims to be the world’s first interactive global youth station, goes live this week. Although it has no long-term licence from the Radio Authority, it will broadcast on a series of temporary licences in eight major UK cities as well as from its own web site and the Trinity Mirror ic24 web site. It has also secured channel 935 on the Europe Sky Digital platform. The station is co-owned by Youth Clubs UK and media company The Milestone Group. It promises a mix of music, debate and discussion programmed by and for young people.
