Vintage TV music channel aimed at over-50s brings in Braben to support launch

A music TV channel aimed at the over-50s has enlisted media specialist Braben to support its launch later this year.

Popular culture channel Vintage TV is expected to hit TV screens on 1 September and has hired Braben for a b2b and b2c PR account.

Vintage TV, which will broadcast 24 hours a day on the Sky and Freesat platforms, will cover five decades of popular music, culture, fashion and trends from the 1940s to the 1980s.

Braben’s brief for both campaigns is to educate potential advertisers, investors and consumers about the unique range of programming and presenters the channel will offer the over-50s demographic in the UK.

Celebrity management, developing social media and a full press office set up are also elements of the campaign Braben will provide.

Forty per cent of Vintage UK’s content will be original programming including exclusive new shows presented by Paul Gambaccini and Lesley-Ann Jones and more than 500 specially created music videos.
