BORDER LINES: CLEVELAND - Pay talk loses PRO Sea World job
SeaWorld senior PR representative Karin Korpowski has been fired by the theme park’s parent, Anheuser-Busch, for telling PR Week’s US edition that she was poorly paid. In an interview (PR Week, 18 October), Korpowski said: ’I hate the fact that ’fun’ PR jobs, like working for a theme park, pay so poorly ... Unfortunately, I can’t send a note to Mastercard saying ’my job is fun’ instead of payment.’ She was fired last week because she did not receive clearance for her comments. SeaWorld refused to comment.
