PUBLIC SECTOR: McMahon takes on strategic council role
The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has transferred Carol McMahon from her post of executive support head to take strategic control of corporate PR. She takes on the newly created role of communications manager, reporting to director of policy and administration Henry Peterson. Day-to-day press office activity will be managed by Louise Raisey, who will return from maternity leave early next year to take up the role of press and publicity head. McMahon will have overall control of a team of 15, spanning PR and publications. The communications department restructure was instigated after the council failed to fill the post of communications director, which was created in February. The post has now been scrapped.
