What is it good for?
Caribbean-Asian fusion food. The menu provides a selection of really unusual dishes, combining traditional Asian cuisine with the tropical flavours of the Caribbean. The atmosphere is sophisticated and relaxed; the decor is modern and the welcome is friendly.
Asia de Cuba is a great for place for client/journalist lunches or pre-theatre dinner.
Take your pick from the Tunapica, calamari salad, blackened cod and honey rum-glazed pot roast of pork.
Who's the boss?
The restaurant is overseen by US mega-restaurateur Jeffrey Chodorow.
Ask for the banquette seating. The bento boxes are an excellent introduction to the a la carte menu, allowing the uninitiated diner to try a range of dishes, and definitely try the desserts.
What's the damage?
The bento boxes offer good value from £15, available between noon and 6.30pm. Desserts are a bargain at £5.
