Bradford Council is planning a campaign to persuade residents to recycle more. It is aimed at people who are aware of recycling, but have not yet considered doing it, or have recycled sporadically, but not committed to it wholeheartedly. The council's executive member for environment and sustainability, Ghazanfer Khaliq, said: 'We want to encourage people who have not considered recycling or are against it, to change their mind and make more of an effort to help the local authority increase recycling figures. It really is time to bin the excuses and help us to reduce the impact the district has on the planet.'
