PUBLIC SECTOR: GPC wins WWF pitch

WWF, the global environment network, has awarded GPC a brief to handle its political and strategic communications issues following a three-way competitive pitch. GPC advised WWF on its Oceans Recovery Campaign and has, since the award was made, offered to work in the new role at a discounted rate, according to GPC corporate policy director James Gurling. He and head of strategic communications Joy Johnson will lead a team of four at the agency. They will report to Carole Auchterlonie at WWF and will work on issues such as climate change, toxic chemicals and the marine environment.
