GPC International appointed

Russia’s Mir space station has appointed public affairs consultancy GPC International in a bid to explore corporate sponsorship and advertising opportunities on the station. The commercial opportunities range from advertising and promotion rights starting at nearly pounds 70,000, culminating with the corporate sponsorship of one of Mir’s six habitation modules at pounds 6 million a year. Astronaut crews have been on board reactivating the station for the past year. The Omnicom-owned agency was hired by Dutch-based MirCorp the commercial facilitating company which took over the station in February.
