Describe the magazine
Heathrow Traveller is a consumer travel magazine that brings to life the wealth of destinations that are served by Heathrow Airport (domestic and international). We combine news, short features and profiles with longer destination focuses, regular columns from noteworthy contributors and shopping and entertainment information.

Who reads your title?
Our reader is the Heathrow traveller, from frequent flyers who receive the digital edition to business and leisure travellers both from the UK and abroad.

What makes a good story for you?
We’re guaranteed to feature new hotels or routes as short news bites, but to go into more depth we need a new angle. We need a great hook that surprises the regular traveller.

What tips can you give PROs to help them get coverage?
Calling with a considered pitch that is specific to Heathrow Traveller is a guaranteed route to success. I love working with PROs who seem to understand the title and consider their idea before pitching it.

PR pet peeves
Travel PRs are a great bunch generally, but it’s important for fashion and lifestyle brand PRs to remember that they need to tailor their pitch to their airport store and the specific products they have available for passengers at Heathrow.

What are your own personal media must-haves?
The Times, The Guardian, The Economist, Vanity Fair, Condé Nast Traveller, Esquire, BA High Life, Question Time

How does your online offering fit in with the magazine?
Our digital edition is currently a flip-book version of the print magazine. It is mailed to all Heathrow frequent flyers and is on heathrowairport.com. All adverts, mentions of airlines and specific websites can be clicked through to for more information.
