ST LOUIS: Fleishman-Hillard has acquired Lois Paul and Partners, a
top-ten independent technology PR firm.
The acquisition is part of the creation of an F-H subsidiary, Technology
Consulting Worldwide (TCW.)
Agency founder Lois Paul will join the heads of F-H’s other recent
hi-tech agency acquisitions on the TWC board. Members of the board will
all operate their own distinct agencies under the TCW banner. The board
also includes representatives of three of F-H’s own divisions:
Technology, Interactive Design and E-commerce Consulting.
Lois Paul’s client list includes Lotus, Nortel and Razorfish. Paul will
remain president and chief executive of the agency, but will now report
to John Graham, F-H chairman and chief executive.
Graham said the acquisition of Lois Paul and the creation of TCW would
provide an opportunity for TCW’s component parts to trade ideas and
advance common solutions to common client problems.
’The individual agencies will maintain their focus on their own clients,
but they can also take advantage of synergies created by the larger
organisation,’ he said.
F-H, the world’s fifth largest PR firm, has recently been on a buying
spree in the hi-tech sector. In the last 13 months, it has bought
California’s Upstart Communications, Upstream Consulting and Canadian
firm High Road Communications.
