The Telegraph Group has announced the formation of a new company,
Hollinger Telegraph New Media, to develop opportunities on-line and
exploit the e-commerce market in the UK. The Telegraph Group launched
the Electronic Telegraph five years ago, and now has a network of 16 web
sites. It recently launched handbag.com, a joint venture with Boots
aimed at women. The managing director has been named as Hugo Drayton,
now marketing director and director of new media for the Telegraph
Group.
