Flagship Group, the holding company chaired by Tony Good which owns
the Words Group, Millbank PR and Matrix, has merged the agencies into a
single brand - Flagship Consulting.
The new brand has fee income of pounds 2 million which would make it a
Top 60 agency according to PR Week current league listings. It has 26
staff spanning business-to-business PR (especially hi-tech), corporate
PR and public affairs.
When the three PR agencies, together with event organisers Fox
Presentations merged during the summer (PR Week, 11 June) the plan was
for the agencies to retain their separate identities.
However, Simon Quarendon, deputy chairman of the Flagship Group, said:
’It became necessary to simplify the structure and streamlining makes it
easier to manage.’
According to Quarendon, Flagship has had a ’significant’ increase in new
business, with new clients including Railtrack, The Miller Insurance
Group and online car retailer OneSwoop.Com.
’We will focus on industries that are converging,’ said Quarendon.
