PUBLIC SECTOR: Improvement Agency reviews PR strategy

The Improvement and Development Agency, the body set up in 1999 to help with the modernisation of local government, is to carry out a full review of its communications strategy ahead of a possible restructure of its PR function. The move comes in the wake of the retirement of former PR head Jim Christie. Press and communications manager Christine Johnson has been handed temporary control of PR while the review takes place. ’We are reviewing our communications strategy to see if it fits in with the objectives of the organisation,’ she said. Executive director Mel Usher will oversee the review.
