Microsoft has taken its PR operations out of its marketing
department in Germany to clarify communications between PR and the
firm’s general manager, Richard Roy. Microsoft PR general manager Kurt
Braatz, who leads an eight-strong team and has held the post for the
past two years, will report to Roy. Braatz previously reported to
marketing head Gregory Gordon.
The in-house PR team handles corporate, product and internal PR.
Additional PR tasks such as events, press releases and conferences are
handled by agency Expresso.
