1. To cheer or not to cheer (for England). That was the question asked of Welsh football fans this week in a debate organised by PR agency Working Word.

It found there were eight categories of response, the most amusing being the 'Passive Negatives', who secretly supported England's opponents, and the 'Anyone But England's'. The event raised money for the testicular cancer charity The John Hartson Foundation.

2. Can England win the World Cup? Yes, say ex-England manager Glenn Hoddle and England players-turned-pundits Paul Merson and Matt Le Tissier. The trio attended a H&K Sports debate last week, hosted by Radio 5 Live and ESPN presenter Mark Chapman. H&K Sports MD Andy Sutherden was also at the event.

3. A good week for The Hospital Club in Covent Garden. On Tuesday, the new Secretary of State for Culture, the Olympics, Media and Sport, Jeremy Hunt, chose the venue for his first speech on media and technology.

On Thursday, the Hospital Club 100 long-list - featuring some PR gurus - was revealed with a series of cheeky media cartoons.
