CARMA chief executive Sandra Macleod said: ’Increasingly a big part of

our work has been other forms of research besides media analysis. We had

been doing it on a client-by-client basis before; now we are formalising

it.’ She added: ’We will always be in that communications research

niche, but we will offer broader market research. For example, we can

pull different kinds of research together to see how an advertising

campaign worked besides a media campaign.’

The market research arm will be led by ex-MORI associate director

Stephen Welch.

As of this week, Echo’s newspaper analysis for PR Week will also include

opinion research.

- Reputation and media measurement specialist Delahaye Medialink is

setting up in the UK with an office in the London premises of its parent

firm, Medialink Worldwide. The office will be managed by Stephen

Debruyn, director of Delahaye Medialink’s international operations.
