The University for Industry has brought in David Croisdale-Appleby
to set-up and run the communications function at the new government
body, which promotes learning through IT and comes into being in 2000.
Croisdale-Appleby will head a communications department which will
ultimately number some 45 staff. He will work closely with the director
of policy development, Jim Reid, on all aspects of marketing and
communications, and will report to the body’s chief executive, Dr Anne
Wright. Retained agency Grayling will continue to provide day-to-day
press office support and work with UFI when it launches next year.
Croisdale-Appleby joins from his own marketing consultancy, Creative
Synergy, where he was chairman and chief executive.
