Hannemann moves over from technology firm Bosch, where he was head of media public relations for two years, and has held several in-house PR roles including a five-year stint in banking.

Hannemann will now report to GH's two co-managing directors for Europe, Matt Neale and Jonathan Hughes. GH says Hannemann's role will be to increase the company's brand awareness within Germany as well as increase the Frankfurt office's involvement in its global operations.

GH president and CEO Fred Cook said: 'His appointment strengthens our consultancy capabilities in Germany and will benefit our international client activities.' Neale added that Hannemann's 'broad and deep experience in corporate communications as well as in German and international media relations will certainly have an immediate impact for our clients and teams'.
