deputy editor of the Guardian Women’s page, into the newly created role

of style director. Wilson will oversee the magazine’s fashion and

lifestyle coverage, alongside fashion editor Lulu Soames and style

editor Luli Cordle.

Wilson has been under contract to the Telegraph for the last two years,

writing interviews and features. She studied fashion journalism at St

Martin’s School of Art. As well as her role on the Guardian’s women’s

pages, she was a development director at the Guardian, has edited the

Observer’s Preview section and has been a consultant to Channel 4. She

takes up her new role this week, reporting to Telegraph Magazine editor

Emma Soames.

Soames said: ’We are building up our beauty and fashion content to

enhance the existing strengths of the magazine. There is a tremendous

appetite for sharp, well-presented style pages.’
