HONG KONG: Ludgate Asia has won a brief from scmp.com, the online
version of Hong Kong English language newspaper the South China Morning
Post, to promote it as the leading source of news and information in
Greater China. The appointment followed a five-way pitch against
Edelman, Fleishman-Hillard, Ogilvy PR and The Rowland Company. Ludgate
will run Asian PR from Hong Kong, led by Asian CEO Martin Spurrier. He
reports to scmp.com marketing director Swee Lynn Chong. US PR will be
handled from San Francisco, with London coordinating European PR.
