Car manufacturer Nissan has restructured its European

communications structure in a bid to provide a more cohesive

message.

As a result of the changes, Daniel Ward has been promoted to the newly

created position of vice-president, communications, Nissan Europe.

The appointment coincides with the move of Nissan’s European

headquarters from Amsterdam to Paris. Ward is currently seeking to

appoint an estimated 20 PROs whose brief will include handling all

European product launches, corporate communications and corporate

identity.

Prior to the changes, Ward was head of PR for Nissan UK. This position

has been filled by the promotion of Andrew Roberts.

One of Roberts’ first tasks as head of UK PR will be to handle the

launch of the Nissan Almera Tino next month.
