Crimestoppers Trust has employed its first full-time PR manager.
The charity has taken on Nicole Hughes, who has spent the last five
years in Australia as senior media adviser for Victoria Police in
Melbourne. Hughes has been briefed to raise the charity’s profile, in
the wake of research which showed that, although its name had a high
recognition factor, very few people knew what it did. ’You’d be amazed
how many people thought it was a TV programme,’ Hughes says. She will
report to trust director Digby Carter, and will be assisted during the
first year by the current part-time PR adviser, Neville Wade.
