PUBLIC SECTOR: Regulatory expert goes from power to post

The Postal Services Commission has appointed Chris Webb, formerly director of public affairs at gas and electricity regulator Ofgem, as its communications co-ordinator. Webb will oversee a PR team of two, and the team will buy in most resources. PSC has just appointed design consultants Bentley Holland to design its corporate identity after a competitive three-way pitch. ’My main task will be establishing a strong corporate identity,’ Webb said. The PSC is the new national regulatory authority for the postal sector, which will become an independent statutory body once the Postal Services Bill, which is now before Parliament, is passed.
