Consolidated Communications is set to buy management consultancy
Lateral Strategies, and bring its founder on to the agency’s board.
Former Virgin brand strategy director Steve Taylor set up the
consultancy a year ago. Its two staff will now be folded into the PR
agency, and work with Consolidated’s six-strong in-house management
consultancy unit under Taylor and Consolidated’s existing management
consultancy chief Graham Henson.
In a separate move, Consolidated’s managing director Alastair Gornall
has hired advertising man Graham Hinton as a non-executive director.
Hinton is a former Bates UK chairman and a former joint chairman of
DMB&B, both of which are former clients of Consolidated. Hinton’s exit
from the chair at Bates last November gave Gornall the chance to invite
him on to the Consolidated board.
