GCI London has been appointed by transnational legal services

organisation CMS following a three-way pitch.

The account, with estimated six-figure fees, is a multi-market PR

programme, initially rolled out in Europe, with potential to develop

further as CMS signs up new partners.

Conor Pickering, head of professional services at GCI London will lead

the account, reporting to Andrew Powell, head of marketing at CMS.

CMS is an organisation that brings law firms under a single marketing

banner. It has 34 offices in 19 countries which are gradually being

rebranded and restructured so that in three or four years, they will

have formed a global law firm with a single name and structure. Many

perceive this practice to be the future of the legal industry.

CMS partner agencies generate fee income of over pounds 185 million and

employ 3,000.
