Senior Hogarth job tempts Jaques from Credit Suisse

The Hogarth Partnership has appointed Andrew Jaques from global

investment bank Credit Suisse First Boston as its first external partner

since it formed three years ago.

Jaques joins Hogarth from his previous position as vice-president of

CSFB’s UK equity capital markets division. He takes up his new post as

partner and director of the company, starting mid-June.

Hogarth was created in 1997 after five directors decided to break away

from Shandwick’s financial PR operation. Since then the agency has grown

to become an 18-strong operation. The consultancy predicts that fee

income this year will reach an estimated pounds 2 million.

It has a retained client list of over 30, including Burmah Castrol,

Future Network plc, and CVC Capital Partners.

The Hogarth board of directors is planning to expand further by

appointing additional partners in the near future.

Hogarth director John Olsen said: ’The only way we can grow is by

building up our team at director level and in due course we will be

taking on new partners.

’The only real constraint for us is finding the right people, and as

soon they become available we will look at them,’ he added.

Jaques, who left CSFB last week, has worked alongside Hogarth in the

past, advising clients such as Burmah Castrol and Albright and

Wilson.

He has over 12 years experience of investment banking and has also

worked for BZW and HSBC James Capel.

’I am joining at the perfect time to participate in the implementation

of their next stage of growth,’ he said.
