Asprey, the upmarket jewellery and luxury goods retailer, has

recruited its first head of PR to act as the ’public face’ of the

company.

Tania Foster-Brown, marketing manager for the Asprey-owned businesses

Mappin and Webb and Watches of Switzerland, will join on 3 February.

Her brief will be to oversee media relations, customer-led PR campaigns

and social events from Asprey’s London office.

Foster-Brown will also liaise with Asprey representatives in New York

and become involved in the company’s sponsorship activities.

Asprey is linked to the Royal Pageant of the Horse, the golden wedding

anniversary celebration of the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh which

takes place later this year.

’The profile of Asprey has heightened dramatically over the last 12

months,’ said Asprey group marketing director Helen Robinson.

’We have an advertising campaign and have produced new look catalogues,’

she added. ’We need a more senior PR person to front the company up and

disseminate information.’

PR was previously managed on a lower level by Julia Raven who will now

report to Foster-Brown. The company also uses Lowe Bell for financial

advice and its consumer agency Green Moon for consumer help. They will

continue to work for Asprey on a project basis.
