17 May - It seems Facebook fatigue combined with the sudden rediscovery of basic concepts such as 'privacy' are weighing down on Facebook's exponential growth. While I am not cheering for the demise of the platform that allows me to stay connected with otherwise too loose connections to bother sustaining, I am of course concerned about who gets hold of my status updates.

17 May - I encountered some new marketing tools last week that got me thinking about alternative methods of communicating a message to a particular audience. While I'm sure I will always fall back on the trusty press releases, opinion articles and case studies of my PR days, it's been really exciting to expand my marketing tool kit and appreciate how other methods can be just as effective at getting the message across.

15 May - Many organisations don't want to start a blog or Facebook fan page because they're afraid of people contributing nasty or unwelcome comments. This can be a big issue for many organisations; we only have to look at the whole Greenpeace v KitKat affair of a couple of weeks ago for an excellent example of a corporate fan page being hijacked.
