The Week in Healthcare - Lexis wins Nurofen brief

Lexis PR has picked up a brief with Nurofen after a three-way pitch. The agency will promote new product claims for both the Nurofen core brand and Nurofen Express. The hire follows a successful tender in February to remain on Reckitt Benckiser's roster of consumer PR agencies for the second year.

BreastHealth UK has selected Bottle PR to undertake a number of projects to generate greater awareness of its private breast screening services. The agency won the nationwide brief following a competitive pitch.

Brandtectonics Access, the market access division of Chandler Chicco Companies, has hired Carsten Edwards as MD. Edwards replaces Neil McGregor-Paterson, who left in February. The Brandtectonics team is currently supporting the launch of Brandtectonics Access in the US.

NHS Salford conducted a survey that found that only 36 per cent of Primary Care Trusts in England are on Facebook and 28 per cent are on Twitter. It also found that the large majority of PCTs use social media to highlight and promote health information online, with NHS Choices gaining the largest profile from this.
