DJs from 30 Manchester clubs will be playing to crowds from open air stages as part of a series of events on June 14/15 promoted by Manchester City Council to mark the recovery of the city from pounds 500 million worth of damage casued by an IRA bomb last year. The council’s PR team has spent pounds 16,000 on posters, radio publicity, street entertainment and newspaper ads to publicise the events.
