Pharmaceuticals giant Glaxo Wellcome has created a new internal magazine
to replace those published by the two companies before the pounds 6.3
billion take-over of Wellcome by Glaxo last year.
Glaxo Wellcome World, a 26-page stapled magazine will replace the Glaxo
World and Wellcome World magazines which were started in 1986 and 1992
The magazine will have a print run of 55,000 and will be distributed to
the company’s staff and other interested parties worldwide.
The magazine will be produced in-house by the public affairs department
and will be edited by publications manager David Holmes. The company has
also dropped Glaxo’s plc staff magazine Focus and replaced it with the
monthly Magnet a hard copy and electronic, computer-networked magazine.
