PUBLIC SECTOR: Northern Arts creates communications job

Northern Arts, one of the regional subsidiaries of the Arts Council, has created a new position of communications officer to help it promote its growing portfolio of arts-based projects. The post is seen as a vital link in the communications chain now that the Arts Council has committed itself to a decentralised structure with greater regional autonomy. The communications officer will report to deputy chief executive Paul Rubinstein and work alongside the organisation’s press officer, Jo Beddows. They will be expected to build regional awareness of the organisation’s activities and develop a communications strategy.
