Regional Profiles

US
MSLGroup experienced a "slight tailing off" of global revenue and slight single-digit decline in US revenue in 2014. Incoming North America president Paul Newman, who joined the Publicis Groupe agency at the end of March 2014, attributed the latter to leadership transition in the New York office.

UK & EMEA
EMEA proved to be a bright spot in a challenging year for MSLGroup. The region – excluding France, which is counted as a separate entity – saw single-digit growth, with the UK, Germany, and Poland excelling on high-single to low-double-digit expansion. Overall EMEA was the second best performing region behind Latin America. However CEO Olivier Fleurot says he was “expecting a better year” over-all in 2014, but stresses that “some regions and some countries did very well.”

Asia
MSLGroup’s Asia-Pacific revenue was flat in 2014 at $130 million. The agency has 32 offices in the region, and despite making a spate of acquisitions in the last few years, Glenn Osaki, president of the firm’s APAC region, isn’t ruling out any more in 2015. However, his main aim this year is building a “common culture and way of working together.” To do so, MSL introduced a new firm-wide methodology called iQube, which aims to form an integrated strategy across the group.
