Senior hack joins British Red Cross
British Red Cross: to target news pages
Kate Magee 04-Aug-08
The editor of ITV's flagship politics show has joined the British Red Cross to head up its news division.
Fiona Campbell starts at the international development charity today as news editor, a newly created role. She has edited The Sunday Edition programme for two years.
She will take charge of two staff dedicated to getting the charity's work in the news sections.
The position has been lying vacant since it was created at the beginning of the year, following a restructure of the 14-strong comms team.
The charity reorganised its press team to mirror a media outlet with separate desks for news, features and forward planning/special projects.
Campbell was previously series editor of Channel 4's 'The Iraq Commission', specials producer for Sky news, and producer/director for Newsnight.
