British swimming champion hires support for TV career

Britain's most decorated female swimmer has hired PR support to build her profile as a TV and radio host, and to promote her swim school initiative.

Karen Pickering MBE has tasked Sputnik Communications to capitalise on her status as a multiple medal winner during almost twenty years on the British swimming squad. Her haul includes 38 national championship titles and 13 Commonwealth Games medals.

The agency will support Pickering as she tries to build a career as a sporting commentator, speaker and event host.

The London firm will also raise awareness of Karen Pickering Swim, which offers lessons across the country for children and adults of all abilities. About 1 in 4 eleven year olds and 1 in 5 adults in Britain can’t swim.
