There was some good work at Central St Martin s degree show last
week. Some good examples of entrepreneurial skills too. Richard Le Cocq
and John Comber, two final-year advertising students, managed to secure
sponsorship from several companies and even won pounds 6,000 for the
college. The teams scooped...
Court Burkitt & Company (CBC) has won its second train operater
advertising account within a week. It will be creating a branding
campaign for Great North Eastern Railway in the autumn, with media
buying remaining with the Charles Walls Group. CBC has also picked up
the advertising for South West Trains...

I m always suspicious of the self-consciously camp in marketing,
and Diesel s ultra-camp advertising certainly knows what it is. The
smart, young target consumers who, I presume, enjoy this stuff, must get
a thrill from Diesel s arch confection.

The ITC is banning television ads which use small print. Car,
telecoms and airline ads, which use the text to explain special
conditions will be the worst affected. BT attracted the most complaints
last year by consumers claiming its discounts were not clear enough.
