FORUM: Crisis management will top the agenda at the Communication
Directors' Forum in June. Under scrutiny will be research findings from
organiser Richmond Events, which reveal that 87 per cent of comms
directors have reviewed crisis comms strategies following the 11
September atrocities.

all UK PR. The brief - focusing on sport, lifestyle, retail and music
work - will seek to promote the firm's clothes to the youth market.

CSR: Four Communications has signed up for full accreditation from
independent CSR auditor GoodCorporation. The six-month accreditation
process will examine Four's ethical framework, such as environmental and
community involvement.

CONSUMER: A coalition of betting shops has appointed hatch-group
subsidiary MacLaurin to handle PR surrounding The Irish Lottery Bet. 49s
- the group formed by Ladbrokes, William Hill and Coral among others -
has taken on the agency for a six-figure fee consumer offensive.

TRADE: Volvo Car UK, the corporate sales arm of Volvo, has renewed
its retained deal with High Wycombe-based NoBull Communications. The
agency will continue its efforts to promote the vehicles to fleet
divisions of companies.

REGIONAL: Moat House Hotels has appointed Manchester-based Mere
Communications to handle its UK regional and consumer PR business. Mere
won a three-way pitch for the account.

TRADE: Lawton Communications has won a PR brief to increase the
profile of Ordnance Survey maps in consumer and trade markets. The
appointment follows a marcoms review, which also saw ad, design and
marketing agencies appointed.

SERVICES: Medialink Worldwide has signed a three-year deal to
provide Reuters with a global video monitoring service. Reuters will use
the service, called Teletrax, to track its video content broadcast on TV
channels globally.

FINANCIAL: Brunswick has hired former Thomson Financial EMEA head
of strategic consulting Angus Prentice as a partner. Prentice will start
mid-May with a remit to help build the firm's IR offering.
