WPP has reported UK revenues rose by 11.9% to £318m in Q1, despite what the chief executive Martin Sorrell described as "hand-to-hand combat in the trenches" in the wider communications market.
Omnicom, the owner of the BBDO and OMD networks, reported pre-tax profits of $331m (£216m) in the first quarter of 2013, down 0.8% year on year, despite revenue rising by almost 3%.
Publicis Groupe, the owner of Saatchi & Saatchi and Starcom MediaVest Group, has reported revenue of €1.6bn (£1.3bn) in the first quarter, up 7.6% year on year although tough comparables and a weak European market held back organic growth.
Havas Group, the owner of the Havas Worldwide and Havas Media networks, has reported pre-tax income of €190m (£161.2m) in 2012, an increase of 14.5% year on year after growth in new business, digital and emerging markets.
Interpublic Group (IPG), the US-based owner of McCann Worldgroup and UM, made pre-tax profits of $674.8m (£441.8m), a decrease of 8.6% year on year, reversing the positive trend reported by Publicis Groupe and Omnicom.
WPP is planning to return its tax base to the UK from Ireland in January, if at least 75% of voting shareholders approve the move at a meeting on 11 December.
French advertising group Havas has reported a 10.6% rise in global revenues to €428m (£342m) for the third quarter, with organic growth coming in at 2%, as the launch of BETC London paid off.

Havas, the world's sixth-largest advertising group, has reported first half revenue of €829m (£657m), up 8.4% year on year.
Engine chairman and worldwide chief executive Peter Scott expects the group to report "strong growth" across 2012 as a whole, after the owner of WCRS reported a "disappointing 2011."
