The Interpublic Group of Companies has acquired New York-based advertising agency Deutsch. Terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, but the deal is estimated to be worth 200m- 300m.

Primary Direct, the insurance company, has hired Intermarketing and Communications to devise a two-part direct marketing campaign. The firm, which has about 250,000 customers, will use DM to build relationships with affinity partners. It will aim its communications at an ABC1 audience.
