STOP PRESS: Sutherland wins IPRA 2001 presidency

The International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has named Manning, Selvage and Lee executive vice-president Alasdair Sutherland as its president for 2001. The current president is Roy Sanada of Japan, who will be succeeded by Carolyn Raffa Fazio, who chairs US sponsorship agency International.

Letizia Moratti, chairman and chief executive of News Corporation Europe, resigned on Tuesday, after less than a year in the job. Internal differences have been given as the cause of her departure, with Moratti quoted as saying that her beliefs were 'not shared by News Corp'.
