People moves: Orange UK

Orange UK has promoted Pippa Dunn from brand marketing director to director of its pay-as-you-go business. Dunn replaces Jim Graham, who is leaving Orange to join European buy-out house Candover as operations director.

People moves: Folio Hotels

Folio Hotels, which operates more than 25 three- and four-star hotels in the UK, has hired Mark Taylor as head of marketing. Taylor joins from Swallow Hotels, where he was group marketing director, and will oversee the launch of an offline and online advertising campaign, breaking next month.

BBC Worldwide has promoted Duncan Swain from editor-in-chief to editorial director for its digital businesses. He will oversee the editorial and design direction of the publisher's websites, including radiotimes.com and topgear.com.

Former DDB chief executive Chris Powell has joined the board of Dr Foster. The health communications agency maps at-risk groups for conditions such as heart disease and uses targeted marketing to reach them.

General Mills has appointed Rebecca Stevens marketing manager for Haagen-Dazs in the UK. She joins from RHM Foods, where she was managing the company's preserves category.

Heinz Foodservice has named Chris Cannon as its head of marketing. He joins from food-services company Brakes, where he was marketing manager in the dairy, deli and grocery categories.

Italian sports brand Fila has promoted Stefano di Martino to chief product and marketing officer. Di Martino moves from his role as managing director for the EMEA region.

People moves: AOL

AOL has promoted Andy Jonesco, previously senior vice-president of audience for AOL UK, to the new position of UK managing director. He will be responsibility for running AOL UK business operations and the aol.co.uk portal, as well as its partnership with Carphone Warehouse.

Hamleys has named Stella Hartley as marketing director. She has spent the past six months as strategic marketing consultant.

Corgi has recruited Richard Hopkins as senior marketer. He will be responsible for European marketing while Alex Balzaretti is on maternity leave. Hopkins joins from Brio, where he was divisional head for Meccano, Plan and Uniset.
